Alice Springs Desert Park

A list of what we do and who we do it for

For Regions: The apex of what we do is create a tourism trail of physical sculptures for a region.

For Shires: We create physical or AR Genestreams Sculptures

For Schools: We facilitate parent groups a schools to run a yearly fund raiser by creating a mini trail of Genestreams AR flowers on their oval. Each grade is represented by a flower. On the opening visitors subscribe through a special link in order to view the trail. The School receives a percentage of subscription profits. Each year a new flower for each grade is revealed. Viewers swipe to view each years creation of the same grade.

For Families: We offer Family Tree Flowers and 4d Family Trees. The software used to create the base plates for the Genestreams Sculptures may also be used to create the family products.

Alice Springs Desert Park Genestreams Sculpture

We propose to undertake an artist residency project at the Alice Springs Desert Park in order to create the natural history art for a Genestreams sculpture about the parks flora and fauna as well as using the time to connect with local indigenous artists who could provide the art for the external appearance of the sculpture.

There are two steps in the development of a Genestreams Sculpture

  1. Creating the art for a digital 3d model that will be featured on the Genestreams website and used to attract patrons to construct the sculpture. In this short film you will see an example of the art and the 3d digital model created for the first Genestreams sculpture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8m0n5_RF8c
  2. Constructing the Genestreams sculpture. Here are images of the sculpture at Twin Creeks

To undertake the artist residency we would require accommodation. During the residency I would build on the work that I created during my previous residency in 2016.
