WHAT IS A GENESTREAMING SCULPTURE?

A Genestreaming Sculpture is a significant public artwork celebrating the interconnected story of life and the unique natural and cultural heritage of its region.

Conceived in Albany (WA) in 2017, the sculpture design was developed at the Australian National University (ACT) in 2020 and launched in the Porongurups (WA) in 2021. In 2025, we established a regional Genestreaming Sculpture trail in the South West of Western Australia, and a documentary capturing this journey has been created. We are now developing Genestreaming Sculpture Trails in each State and Territory to promote an awareness of environment through science and culture.
