We are looking to promote the work of Palaeontologists & students inside the Palaeo Genestreaming Augmented Reality Sculptures.

::
If you are a Palaeontologist or student who would like to have your work featured in a Palaeo Genestreaming Augmented Reality Sculpture Please talk to Ben or Mali or email Mali at malimoir6007@gmail.com

Genestreaming Augmented Reality Sculptures are a new way to bring palaeontology to life for the public, for schools, and for the scientific community.
::
::
The Palaeo Genestreaming Augmented Reality (AR) Sculpture is designed to showcase palaeontological research. Each Augmented Reality sculpture is composed of 15 petals. In this project each petal will feature three information panels highlighting work on—fossils, field sites, species reconstructions, geological insights, and the deep-time stories behind them.
::

::
Genestreaming sculptures are giant evolutionary trees comprising 15 local species plus humans. With the proven participation of communities across Australia and abroad the Genestreaming Sculptures national program facilitates Science, Conservation and Culture to be shared through one Public Artwork.
::

::
Our objective is to establish a national trail of Genestreaming Sculptures. We have just opened a trail of sculptures in the South West WA, we have a sculpture in the Bunya Mountains and a sculpture at Singapore Gardens by the Bay, Every location features a unique phylogenetic tree which reflects the evolutionary stories of local species.

Adopt a Paleontologist
Adopting a Palaeontologist takes place via subscription. By subscribing you secure a dedicated information panel for a palaeontologist or student to present their research within a globally accessible AR sculpture seen by schools, eco-tourists and nature-curious communities across the world.
Subscription to adopt a palaeontologist: AU$27 per month.
If you would like to adopt a paleontologist or student please email Mali at malimoir6007@gmail.com
We envisage that each continent will have their own Palaeo Genestreaming Augmented Reality (AR) Sculpture.
::
What the Palaeontologist or Student Receives:
- Your research featured on one dedicated information panel of the Palaeo AR sculpture
- Your information poster displayed for public engagement and learning
- Your name as a contributor listed on the associated webpage with a link to your research
- A place within a growing initiative linking science to the broader community
A Vision for National & International Science Engagement:
We aim to make the Palaeo Genestreaming AR Sculptures accessible to schools, giving students an immersive way to explore the remarkable fossil heritage of each continent.
Through this initiative, viewers can:
- Learn about current palaeontological research
- Explore evolutionary relationships through an interactive digital tree of life
- Engage with cutting-edge science communicated directly by researchers
- Develop observation skills through nature journaling activities linked to paleo themes on the associated webpage
Why Participate:
This project gives Palaeontologists & students the potential to:
- Share their findings with students and the public
- Highlight the importance of fossil research
- Support STEAM engagement nationwide
- Build visibility for ongoing research programs
- Contribute to an inspiring, collaborative science-communication platform
As a bonus you also patrons who adopt a Palaeontologist or student receive access to the online Explore Nature Journaling Resource Kit, packed with guided art & nature activities that make nature observation accessible for all ages which includes:
- Nature illustration exercises
- Natural history-themed sketching prompts
- Teen and children’s activities
- Innovative approaches to photography on your phone
- Mind-mapping and storytelling methods for interpreting & recording nature
- Cross-disciplinary approaches that blend ecology, geology, and palaeontology
